What are the benefits of hiring a Wedding Coordinator?
Hiring a professional wedding coordinator is probably the best money you will spend on a wedding. Your wedding coordinator will help you define your event style at your initial consultation and bring the wedding of your dream to a reality. Your wedding coordinator will also work within your budget and bring you to the vendors with good reputation that best suit your needs. Sometimes, your wedding coordinator may be able to provide you with industry discounts that you may not be able to obtain on your own through the strong relationships she has established with vendors in the industry, so hiring a wedding coordinator may even save you money in the long run. All in all, your wedding coordinator will act as the “glue” that pulls your wedding together professionally and beautifully.
I want to hire a Wedding Coordinator for my wedding, but does that mean I won’t be involved in planning my own wedding?
At Finishing Touch, we believe communication and trust are keys to a successful event. You will be very involved in the planning process as the decision maker, and we are here to do the legwork in planning your dream wedding. In the end, it is YOUR day, YOUR celebration!
Will there be a contract signed in agreement to the service you will be providing?
Yes! If you are interested in hiring Finishing Touch to plan your wedding, a contract will be provided after the initial consultation.
How much do you charge to plan a wedding?
Your coordination fee is determined based on the locations of your wedding, type of wedding, estimated number of guests, the amount of design work involved and the complexity of your event. Your coordination fee will be given to you after our initial phone/in-person consultation.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you decide to cancel your wedding, your deposit is non-refundable. If you decide to cancel your wedding four months prior to your wedding date, part of your remaining balance is also due immediately. Please be aware that the vendors you chose may also have their own cancellation policy. If you decide to postpone your wedding, we may be able to transfer your deposit to a new wedding date if we are available on your new wedding date (terms and conditions may apply).
Do you plan destination weddings?
Of course! We understand that planning a wedding is overwhelming itself, not to mention planning a wedding from afar. Finishing Touch believes that destination couples should be treated like any other local couples and should be involved in all aspects of their wedding. Finishing Touch developed its wedding planning process to suit the needs and lifestyle of local and destination couples. We are confident to be able to create a wedding as beautiful as something you would have in your hometown miles away. In fact, about 90% of our weddings are destination weddings (whether they are formerly Kama’ainas planning their weddings from the mainland or couples who are getting married in Hawaii from another country). Besides weddings on the Hawaiian Islands, we are also available for events on the West Coast and Hong Kong.
Do you provide an emergency kit?
Yes we do! All of our on site wedding coordinators will carry an emergency kit with them at all times. All items are available for brides, grooms, their wedding party & guests to use at no charge. Some of the items in our emergency kit include: sewing kit, tape, extension cord, lip gloss, first aid kit, nail polish…etc.
Do you also coordinate other events besides weddings?
Of course! Besides weddings, Finishing Touch’s staff is also experienced in coordinating different functions and events. Some of the events we have coordinated in the past include black tie charity Gala’s, Walk-a-thon’s, NFL Football Clinics, Silent and Live Auctions, Celebrity Golf Tournaments, various Sports Tournaments, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Engagement Parties, Vow Renewal Ceremonies and Graduation Parties.
